Atv rider and atv aposrt....i really wish they would make a atv racer x though,like the dirt bike magazine

Dirtwheels is too biased in it's reviews.

4 Wheel ATV Action is terrible. I remember a review they did on a Mojave and said it outweighed a 300EX by 30lbs. Then you look at the specs and the 300EX is 2lbs heavier! That mag sucks.

Dirtwheels is totally lame. They occasionally have a decent article but the ride tests are written for a 7th grade level audience.

ATV Sport is better, but they don't have as many tests as I'd like. I suppose qualitity over quantity comes to mind.

These forums are the best sorce of info. Just have to weed through the BS.

I just picked up my first issue of ATV Rider off the newstand today and I must say that I was impressed. Nothing obviously out of place with this mag, I think I might get a subscription... =)

atv action i would say is better than dw, dw is just a 200pg ad magazine.

ATV Sport is my top pick.

Dirt Wheels has gotten really bad. I've never seen so many *&^$! ads in my life. And the fact that they almost have as much page space for pictures people send in as they do acutal articles and tests. I don't mind the "readers rides" but they should have a LOT more content than what they have. Another thing that gets me (and this applies to ATV Action as well) are the by-lines. "By the Staff of Dirt Wheels"? What, does each person there take a turn on the keyboard? The person who wrote the article should be given credit for it.

My friends hand down their slightly read mags my way so I read them all, and I must say too many ads, not enough unbias reports and I'm glad I have good friends that share. Dirtwheels not to shaby.

I find that to keep sane through all the hype, you gotta read them all, then ride the bikes for yourselves. They all have good and bad points.

I am just surprised that more people like 4wheel atv action more than dirtwheels - they are published by the same people! ATVsport isnt bad, but there used to be another ATVSPORT back in the late 80's early 90s - they were the absolute best. period. They were originally called 3wheelin but changed their name.
Anyway, they would do the most detailed, REAL tests- even give top speed, gearing ratios, etc, everything. Just the bikes' stats page took up like a whole page. The tests were at least 5-8 pages with alot of good pics. Even the editors would rate the bikes in the tests. it was like a point- counter point addition to the magazine tests. I miss that mag. The new atvsport is nothing like the original one. They now come up with weird ways to evaluate bikes. Stuff that no one would even do to compare bikes.... I agree, Dirtwheels seems biased to the latest stuff and honda. I dont blame them 100% on honda, but sometimes the honda really shouldnt win. Sometimes they should get beat. Also, when the z400 came out, they said it was the best quad since the 250r. I'm not z bashing - I think its a great bike and wouldnt mind having one. But as good as the 250r - I dont think so. IMO
