Default My Wolverine 424 Select review

I just bolted the 424 Select on my '98 Wolverine. Man, does it handle different in 2WD. It feels tippy. I almost rolled it. I guess I have to use a little more body english than I do when in 4WD. I wiped out a few small saplings on the trails behind the house. The front end seems to float in the turns. It pushes the front tires a little. My tires are stock. they're not bald but they do have some meat on them. It's nice to have the option of 2WD but it will take some getting use to. I've been use to the way it handled in 4WD since I got it new in '98. I haven't really noticed a difference in speed but it does seem to wind out through the gears a little quicker. It will spin tire right now. Doing donuts are easy. The front end is still a little heavy for wheelies. I tried a few out on the lawn but my tires would rather spin on the grass. Because the motor only has to drive the back wheels the quad it feels like its geared lower. I tried a few small hillclimbs, about half way up I got on the gas and it spun dirt everywhere. It almost came to a complete stop. I like the 424 Select. I don't want to give the wrong impression. I just thought I'd share my thoughts on it incase someone out there was thinking of getting one.

OK, let's have it. WHERE DID YOU BUY IT ???? Everyone else sez it hasn't been released yet for the 95-9 models. Inquiring minds........

I bought it through J R Graham. J R Graham phone number is 1-800-432-2238. It was $298 without shipping. I forget what the total cost with shipping was. It was on backorder for a month or so.
