Raptor Stage 2 Hotcam help!!!
#1
I had to replace my stretched cam chain and decided to go ahead and put a cam in while i had it tore down. I bought the stage 2 hotcam and the kibblewhite springs, and went ahead and purchased a 155 and a 160 main jet, cause i heard i needed this for it to run right. Well, in the spring kit it said i needed to have the middle valve guide machined down...but dont say how far? I wanted to know if anyone had any specs on how far it needed to be machined down casue i went ahead and did it by measuring a few things. Also, i have heard two differnt stories on the rocker arm situation. One fellar told me i need to go buy some stronger rocker arms so the cam dont destroy them. I have also read with the Hotcam..you can use your stock rocker arms cause its made out of the same metal and dont bother the rocker arms. If any of you can help me again, it would sure make things on me a lot easier, cause i am ready to find out how i am gonna like it, actually kind of excited about it.

i just read about not every raptor has to have it machined down and if it does its only like 1mm so i think i have that one solved...but keep it coming. but the real thing is the ROCKER arms...need to know about the rocker arms. Please fill me in, casue if i can use the stock rocker arms....it will save me money and they arent worn bad at all, and trust me, i am on a tight budget and want to ride the ole girl.

You should be fine with your rockers, I think you have to have them hardened if you use a Web cam.
I would get some bigger mains thou, depending on how you air box is modded.
Get that ole girl together and ride her hard.
