ive had a 696.697 and a stage 2...now i want another... what is bettr than thes two?

151- The 685 is not a trail cam by far. The 685 cuts down on the rideability of your quad. I have the 685 in mine but plan on removing it in a few weeks and put the stage 2 back in.

 

yea thanks...i got the stage2 instead... i thought about doing the 685 later because it said i need to remove my head do some mods to it..i just want to ride right now...i have a banshee too and i want to MX and drag my raptor...

july 20 is drag races at our fair..i need to have the fastest raptor there though...mad bragging rights.

What mods do you need to do to the Head to run the 685, I need some top end for the dunes, over the stage II I have now.

 

the 685 has way more lift than a stage 2...and they say you need to shorten your valve guides and check valve clearances.

yea the races are put on by the wolfe brothers and last year it was a blast... there were a ton of bikes...the fastest were customs w street bike engines..there are no built raptors.

 

What are the "typlical real world" HP gains from adding a stage II cam?

Typlically by adding a big/bigger cam you loose low end torque - and since the Raptor has so much tq - does it even the bike out? What are the poer range characteristics from a stage II cam?

My megacycle 280x4 doesnt have the bottom end torque that my web 696/697 does. Its not much difference down low but there is a difference. Top end is incredible. Megacycle makes another cam that is more radical and a few that are in between the stage II and the x4. Just dont believe them when they tell you it is a drop in cam! anything over .385 lift on intake will take some shortening of valve guides im told.
