about to go race blaster in a drag any tips
#11
Keep the clutch and throttle balanced off the line. A lot of people cant get the hang of the clutch hand and how you can use it to keep your nose down while still keepin the RPM's up. Just practice your starts over and over, thats the key to a drag. When i drag race, besides going up to 22" tires, I always loosen up my bar clamp and rotate my bars down. Ihve no idea if this actually helps anything, but it just makes me feel more comfortable. It feels like im on more of a crotch rocket than a quad. It doesnt take but maybe 5 minutes to rotate the bars, clutch, throttle and front brake into the position i like. Always seems like when i have the bars down [and i mean WAY down, almost touching the tank] I feel more stable at higher speeds, and it also feels like i keep the nose down better... hmm...
