Hauling a$$ and knowing you dont have to worry about any other competition, or just the plain thrill of having something different? I dont kno.

Mr 350 X,
If you come back out to the strip, you might see the banshee with the TURBOED R1 motor!!! Why you ask? In his case he covers 300 feet in 3.6? seconds (cant remember the MPH) 100 feet in just over a second is reason enough for me!

I almost forgot. THere is a local flat track racer that runs an old 750 twin cam honda 4 cylinder in his quad. It sounds awesome going around the track! He can only run one gear though.

I was looking at Craycrafts website and they quote the 686 with 12:1, stage 2. Did you request your setup with 11:1, stage 1 or did you get just the port and polish from them? Do you think this setup would still be tame enough for mountain trails. I want alittle more but not too much as in non trailable.
You would probably be better off with the 11:1, stage 1 and a port & polish.

Just thought i'd let you guys know.... I was out on my R1 today, thinking about this post... and I was in first gear at a little over 7.500 rpm doing 60 mph. so, ya, I can't imagine you'd need anything more than second gear with this engine in a quad. the redline is almost 13,000. that would be absolutely nuts in a quad.

Sorry for the delay. St Anthonys and Little Sahara kept me busy until now. Oh yeah, and of course lots of great fly fishing in Montana.

I basicaly just got the port and poilish from them in a sense. I actualy got a whole new motor in pieces from them LOL. I wanted the 11:1 and stage 1 (which I already had prior to the rods failure only in stock bore) so I didn't have to buy race fuels to ride. Its great on the mountain trails and surprises a few in the drags
