I pull start my hi-comp 686, but it's because I need a new starter solenoid.

Sometimes when starting a high comp bike you have to "bump" the starter to get it through the compression stroke. My 730 starts flawlessly every time I hit the button.

85Rrider...Raptors also have 4 wheels..does that also make it a ***** bike? LOL

I have a 12.1 piston in mine and still have the decompression and I have NO PROBLEMS with starting at all. It also has to do on how tuned correctly your bike is.

As for electric starters..Ill take it over a kickstart any day! Dusty left the petcock on his banshee on...and flooded it. Once we got the alcohol out of the cylinders and cleaned the plugs off(didnt have any extras), it still took 50 kicks to get it to start. You should have seen the alcohol pouring out of the pipes when he reved it. It looked like a fire hose. When it was all said and done, we probably kicked that thing over 200 times. My leg is sore, and so is the bottom of my foot. Dusty owes me big time! LOL

I never said I could beat one of those beasts... I've just never raced one.
Puttin' words in my mouth. I'm just not a four-stroke kinda guy... I guess they had to get to 700cc's before they could beat a 250R? Hmmm..

Question is - Doesn't an electric start require a battery? And I heard somebody say two strokes were high maintenance... I guess maintenance is relative.

Now - How can you call a guy with a three-wheeler a *****? Usually three-wheeler owners have been riding since the dawn of ATC/ATV time, we've seen this sport turn into what it is today.. It doesn't matter - my 250R (still almost stock) is worth more now than when it was new in 84'.. Can you say that about your craptor?
