Need Banshee help guys....

Im looking to trade a jet ski I got for a shee. A guy with a 02 Banshee is ready to trade, it has FMF Pipes/Silencers, Jet Kit, and K&N Filter all installed by the dealer when he bought it new. It has a durablue axle on it and his kid raced it mx 8 times and a few times around the house. I cant find a bend on the frame and everything looks in good shape. Only thing I see wrong with it is the back end is not straight, one tire is closer to the nerf bars than the other, maybe by 2 inchs. Only thing I can think of it being is the chain adjuster is not lined up. He says his kid never wrecked. He said if it needs a swingarm he will buy a new one, but the swing arm looks fine just the back part of it is not straight. The chain seems to be lined up also. I just need some help from you guys have done it all with them and might know something to help me. Im gonna trade him monday if I can figure the problem out. Thanks alot for any help, I just dont wanna get a bent up junker.

well mine is the same way. I hit a sign going strait towards it last winter, and hasent been right since. It bent the axle, and I got a new one. But the bearing carrier is bent along with the mounts on the swing arm. I can get the chain to line up good, but it still seems way outta alignment by looks. It really always drove strait though. I guess look at the mounts on the swing arm. Thats all I can say.

He put a new axle on it, but I think the swingarm is bent. I think it is the mounts like you said, he said he would buy a new swingarm for it. If he does ill get it and put the swingarm on. Thanks

Wel the axle carrier is connected to the swingarm mounts towards the back. and all of the tortions coming from the axle go to carrier mounts on the swimg arm. So when I hit the sign, it put tons of pressure on those mounts making them bend. The bolts holding the carrier to the mounts actually bent too. I then got a new axle and had another on road crash where it flipped end over end, being another axle. So my swingarm and carrer have taken a mad beating. One of the mounts on the carrier is kind of twisted, its very odd. But I say get the quad. the fix is easy. Look for excessive wear anywhere. Like check the front a arm bushings for play in the wheel, make sure reg. maintence was done to it. Other than that, it doesnt seem like a bad deal. Cool thing about a banshee is that they have sooo many aftermarket parts, you will just go insane with it. The power delievery is weird to get used to at first. But they are such a fun quad to ride.

Doubt it, lol.. My buddy has a shee that is all stock and it is a blast to ride. I ride mostly trails and the 700 cant be beat in the trails. But I wanna bike I can mod the crap outta, race in sand drags, and sand dunes and the banshee is the best for that. I hardly ever ride my GP now that I have the 700, so im gonna trade it I think.
