I have a blaster and my cousin had a 300ex so i know exactly what a blaster will do up against a 300ex both stock. the blaster will beat a 300ex in a drag race if u know what ur doing. oh yeah not all blaster top out at 55 stock. for example mine topped out about 60mph because when me and my other cousin raced he was topped out at 60 with his grizzly 600. now if u put a fmf fatty pipe, power core 2 silencer, k&n air filter and a 14tooth sprocket u will smoke a 300ex and be able to almost out run a 400ex off the line. the 400ex comes back at the end very slowly. oh yeah the 400ex wasn't stock either that had a k&n air filter and a white brothers exhaust. oh yeah the blaster has been beatin and needs to be ported and polished really bad since i have had it for 2 years and has an outrages amount of miles that u would not believe. Bought the blaster brand new off the show room floor by the way.

 

oh yeah by the way the 250ex doesn't stand a chance at all

 

What does the mojave have on a blaster?
My friend has a mojave and another friend of mine has a Prarie 400 4X4.
the mojave beats the prarie by alot (obviously) but it goes well over 50 mph if not over 55.
so the question is...Stock 2002 Kawasaki Mojave? or a stock Yamaha Blaster. (not sure if certain years are faster or not, info would be appriciated)

The blaster is better...Its faster all around lighter has better suspension(in my opinion),its funner(2 stroke),but the mojave has reverse(big deal).....They both are good machines but i would get the blaster

 

You could probably beat a Sportsman 335 too.

 

Also i'm 6'2 and 170 too big for a blaster? i like the mojave my friend has. I would love to have a raptor....but not enought money [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

i have a 2001 polaris scrambler 500 4x4 with a k&N air filter,accelerib handgaurds and sunstar rear sprocket and i deystroyeda blaster with tommey exhaust and air filter.

 

You are too tall. The blaster runs wild with a PC pipe and K&N with 270 main no lid. It will run more like a 400ex than a 300ex. But sorry man, you are too tall for a blaster (or YFZ450). Get a used raptor or something. Many poeple will sell them since they think the new 450 is soo great.

 

hey I'm 6'1 and 160lbs. my blaster doesn't seem small to me, it certainly has enough guts to pull me around quite well. but 6'2 or 6'1 is going to feel kinda small on any fourwheeler, unless it's like a DS650, those things are frickin huge. i woulnd't say you're too small, but you're almost gettin there. are you all torso or all legs?
