Default Raptor Overheating

Just posting to see if anyone else has had this problem. Rode all day Saturday on a 20 mile trail loop, second time around i hit a puddle and bottomed out. A huge wave of mud and water covered the front end. About ten minutes later temp light and fan came on as well as the resivoir boiling over. I let cool for ten minutes and took off again with the same results about five minutes later. Thats when i looked at the radiator coverd in mud. My question is would that alone make it overheat and is it possible that i damaged the motor?

If you radiator was fully immersed in mud and there was no air hitting it at all I'd say you would overheat fairly easy.....as for damaging your motor, as long as you weren't riding it when it overheated, you should be fine....

I shut it off immediatly when the light came on. Normaly mud does not get that high on the quad but i hit that hole goung like 30 and it almost threw me over the bars, i imagine it was a sight to see. I am going the take the front plastic off tonight and clean it thoroughly.
