As one looks at the Raptor head, it's obvious there are intakes from the left and right side on the head feeding the center valve. So both carbs are partially feeding the center intake valve. I would asume the Griz head is exactly the same.

Why can someone just port the raptor head so that both intakes feed the center valve, then you dont have to worry about running a single carb,or using "stagered jetting on dual carbs.????

I'm sure it has to do with the aerodynamics of the fuel/air mix and the vortex shedding due to the material seperating the ports...

Gary, I think your probably right. BUT the wide port is on the wrong side. So that won't let the mainfold bolt up right. You could turn it over and drill new holes for it, but then the carb would br at an angle.

Bigger, I think you can, but it involves welding up some parts of one of the ports. I don't know if it would be worth it.
