i own an '01 raptor and need to replace the battery. do i need to purchase one from a yammy dealer or can i pick one up at wal-mart? thanks guys

 

Good question, I can't see one would be different from another. As long as the terminals are the same, cranking power and size.

 

I wouldn't be afraid of getting a matching battery from an automotive supply. It's bound to be cheaper than yamaha would be.

The only difference is in the way they bolt the terminals down.

 

I picked one up at a local Interstate Battery Store and it cost me around $35. WAY less expensive than Yamaha Shop. I just took the old one in and they found the right replacement. $35 includes trading in the old battery. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]
