Yes I know, I should have went over the bike before getting on the damn thing.

I always check the fluids on my Rappy.

I just had that conversation in my head about the guy just changing all the fluids, and I just wanted test spin, but still my bad.

Waiting to hear from the mechanic on all the damage.

Just got the Shee out last week. Not as bad as i had thought but still hurts, 1399.00.
From the sounds of it, there could have been oil in it when the guy save it to me, but the mechanic said the Main Bearing was bad, and the Oil leaked into somewhere to the side of that, can't remember. Then burned it off. He showed my the gears the where pretty bad, as was the Main Bearing. The water pump was shot as well, not even functioning.

He said, there is no way this guy did not know there was a problem. But then again my bad for not taking it to a mechanic before I bought the damn thing.

well this happened with my blaster...brought it used and i tried it out b4 i brought it and first kick it started then i ran a compression cheak, had a better machinik than me look at it, and even he said it was alright.... MONTH LATER I NEEDED A NEW TOP END

i got vitos top end kit and it works amsing now but still......

ask someone about this, ill try to get the right name for it, but u can not sell a thing like a banshee and have it break the next day....it was defective.....ill ty to get all the info on this but u may get the money to fix it....U CAN SUE (im not joking guys!)

ya look into it hard becasue there maybe some money in this law....something like u cannot sell something that is bowned to be broken so that u will not have to deal wth it.....might not work with quads...and a 2 stroke at that

 

The law you are talking about is termed the "Precedence of Sale" law. It states that an individual cannot knowingly sell any item that is defective or blemished without proper notification to buyer. Here's the problem...

Notice I bolded the word "knowingly", you see, unless you can prove by HARD evidence that the bike was defective before you rode it (which would require a statement from a certified mechanic that the bike was faulty before you crawled on it), the man can simply claim that the bike was in fine order when he sold it and that its demise was as a result of your abusive riding. Without hard evidence to prove otherwise, you are sh*t out of luck.
