My brother saw a yfz with a thunder alley pipe on it at the st anthony dunes on saturday. He said it was performing worse than another one that just had the baffle removed. I figured the TA would be much better than stock but who knows.

 

Maybe it was the rider.

 

I don't think it was the rider becaue the other guy was pulling him good going up the hill.

 

It had to be the rider and or bad jetting, We have 3 quads with the TA pipe and I think its as good or better as the sparks pipe and a lot cheaper at 350 for the full system!

 

maybe it was tire set up?

 

It could be a lot of different varibles, ie, weight of the riders, jetting, tire, rider ability, a broken in 450 vs a non broken in 450(i know bad choice of words) or another varible. I know that Thunder Alley makes a great pipe and the one for the YFZ should be real good considering he has made pipes for them sence the 450 dirtbike came out.
