I need help !!!! I tried to remove the small white label below the gas cap on my brand new YFZ 450 and the shiny new blue plastic is now severly hazed in that area. I have tried a bunch of different products and bring the shine back, but have had no success whatsoever. Does anyone have any experience with this and possibly recomend a product or method to fix it????? I am afraid that this haze will slow me down enough so that Z's, EX's and Pred's might be able to fly by me.........NOT!!!!!!!

They make some goo remover stuff you can get at walmart.

try GooGone, but dont scratch the **** out of that plastic..it scratches easily. go in the bathroom and get Mom'e best bathroom towels, at least 2, what theya, it smells like oranges! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] you are polishing, be patient.
and quit dinkin around with stuff, that label may have been there to PROTECT the finish!

let other people tinker and read about it before you do it to yours..you prob just voided yer warranty knowing yamaha!!!hehe

 

Get off the dunes and ride that baby in the woods. Your plastic will be all scratched up so you will never notice the slight blemish.

 

If it's glue residue mineral spirits works best.
