I have a 98 Banshee, and i noticed when i push the throttle the carb slide on the right hand side starts to open first. It opens about 3/8 of an inch or so before the left side moves. Is it supposed to or do the carbs need to be synched? Also how much performance do you guys think i could be losing? if any.

holy cow! 3/8 of an inch off?! if that is indeed the case, you are indeed losing significant performance. the carbs should begin to move at exactly the same time. you must tighten the cable nuts at the top of the carbs (or adjust the TORS units on top of the carbs, if that system is still installed) so that the slides begin to move at the same time. there are also small sight glasses on the sides of each carbs. when the mark on the slides shows up in the glass at the same time, they are roughly synchronized.

there are more technical ways, but half-assed works most of the time....
