What carbs will put out the most HP/ work the best on a 686 raptor piped, jetted, ported, titanium valves, air box mods, cam, etc. ALways looking for more power so other suggestions will be concidered. Thanks for any replies.

35mm. Their mechanical not vacuum, have a accel. pump, you can get more parts for tuning them and jetting is a lot easier.

I've got FCRs on my 686, they are 100X better than stock. If you've got money invested in a 686, spend a little more ($800) and do the job properly.

...don't go thru a yamaha dealer for your FCRs unless you want to pay at least a couple hundred more than you have to!!!

Call several place of aftermarket like Spark, Trinity, I think Craycraft is selling too. shop around. Don't go to Yamaha dealer unless you know you can get the price break.

I guess they are expensive, i live in canada and they want like $1300-$1400 dollars for them. There has to be a better way. Is boring out the stock carb just as effective? and How much would that cost? I don't think i could put out that much money right now. Maybe I should go with a cheaper carb? Or would i just be waisting time and money doing that. What do ya think?
