Thanks Mr shady. Six, Raptor and Blaster.

Sam, Justin was getting good air but I think the video your talking of was actualy Derek. My older son, well, 1 year older LOL. He's starting to grow some huevos. Now I have 2 to worry about.

Raptorowner, I've never seen a Ranger at St Anthonys until this time. That would be because I went to the BLM campground. I'm not even sure he's a Ranger or if he's a BLM person. Maybe thats a Ranger?? He was concerned about overflow camping as we were the first in line for that. It was windy as heck most of the time and I didn't want to stay at the Oasis anymore. My Dad wen't to the BLM area and got the first overflow spot and we wen't with them once we new they were there. I'd say No, they don't check for noise and I hope they never do it at Glamis, Dumont or Pismo but I feel that it will happen one day.

That was Derek again. LOL,

Yeah they do. I have Justin on video on my quad, He was going up it in 3rd gear to. It won't pull my fat azz in 3rd but it'll rev out in 2nd just fine. There was a couple guys at the top watching him race some people. He was smoking a guy on a banshee (i'll have to make that video and get it up) and they commeneted that it was a good running Raptor but one guy kept it in perspective and said well the kid only weighs a 100lbs or so. To be fair to the banshee guys, Justin after stomping a normal modded Banshee rolled up next to one of the faster shees thinking he was all that, well that shee stomped him as bad as Justin stomped the other shee. wshrdskin- I dont think we have to worry about the db noise at Pismo unless (This is what all the Rangers there told me) if someone is obnoxiously loud around the camping area then they will go after that person. Only if they are getting complaints that they would track that person down. Ok. How far is that from Bakersfield?

How far is what? St Anthonys? It's aprox 900 and some odd miles from my door here in Fontana. Thats in the San Bernardino area. It takes us aprox 17 hours drive time, that includes stopping for gas and food and the twice as often pee breaks for the wife.

Ok, I put up the videos of Justin racing the Banshees up choke cherry on my quad.

Man to drive 17 hours the St Anthony dunes must be really special compared to the ones closer to you. Either that, or it's just a good stop en route to your favorite fishin' holes up here in the middle of nowhere.

Exactly.
St Anthonys are better dunes than any others I've been to. Glamis, Dumont, Pismo doesn't have a chance aginst St Anthonys. Dumont is the best Dunes I have nearby. All 3 are within 2 1/2-4 hours from me. We stop at LS Utah and then St Anthonys on our way up to Montana for some class A fly fishing. I would make the drive for a weeks worth or riding though and no fishing.

PS. I drove a little over 4000 miles this last trip to the dunes and Montana. It was worth every mile.

Gee, even though I haven't been to Glamis, Dumont, etc for comparison I'm feeling better all the time about living within a FOUR HOUR DRIVE of St Anthony dunes. FOUR SHORT HOURS. I can just buzz on down after work for a spin. I can go any time!! It makes it all worthwhile to live in Montana (from the Spanish word meaning "No Money").

I'm wanting to say IN YOUR FACE but that could be considered gloating.

Maybe I ride there too much and it's taking the fun out of it.......NOT!!!!

I'm just sorry you all live so far away, really.
