Hey, I just picked up my new used 01 Banshee. The guy I bbought it from said that everyonce in a while, the kickstarter wouldn't catch so you have to keep trying until it caught. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it. The bike will start but you just have to keep kicking till the starter actuall catches. It does have, a bored head,, port and polich, boost bottle, and pro circuit pipes, but i don't think those could affect the kickstart in any way.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

mine will do that on occasion also. you have to pull the clutch side cover off and pull the kick gear off and get it re-lined up and put it back on. i bought a clymer book and it came in handy when mine came off with the cover one time.

 

Badshee98 is right you need to remove the clutch cover and look at the gear.

I still have yet to look at it, but I was on the Cascade Innovations site earlier, and I saw a kick-start rebuild kit. would that be something that would eliminate the problem? it was only niine bucks.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
