So what do you guys think about the dyno plots? Looks to me like it shines over the stock carbs even on the top end.

Looks like it falls off a little faster than the stock carbs after the HP peak (about 6500 RPMs). Other than that the plots look very similar.

I agree...probably would really hold back a revver. BUT maybe a stock or mild Raptor would benefit....check out the torque graph....gains most right where it's gonna help the most. Check out the A/F ratio graph too......impressive. You see the JOKE for a stock baseline?

Looks to me like the porting or lack there of (since still stock) is actually causing the hp to decrease on the top end. since the hp is basically the same on the top end, we can conclude that for this given configuration that the edelbrock can flow the same as the dual stock carbs. the next step would be to get the motor to actually accept more air and then we could see if the edelbrock can flow as much as the stockers and whether or not the cut off point is even really useable to most people.

I would think that the lower A/F ratio backs up that zero gain in top-end. I bet once the head is ported the Edelbrock picks up more top-end than with stock carbs. I would be interested to see runs with a Stage 1 Hotcam added, then a 11:1 JE piston. Oh, btw, that baseline is with a Yosh pipe and ProFlow kit, I think.

Edit: Almost forgot, check out the HUGE gain in usable low-end power!!!

I helped a guy jet his Edelbrock and I feel the main problem is the air intake to the carb it has a step up just to enter the carb greatly restricting flow. I think the guy was going to sell his because there was no performance gain. But the carb looked sweet in there though

what do you mean by there is a problem with the intake? Are you referring to the plenum or the airbox itself?
