Any Banshee owners raced any 400ex's?

I was riding with a friend of mine this weekend who has a Banshee w/ pipes jetted and reeds. My 400 is stock. I will have to admit that he did catch me on the paved road, but...... in the woods I would have to stop and wait on him. I will give it to you Banshee guys for riding in dunes or sand dragging I think the Banshee would be a good Quad, but for what I do (tight woods trails) I will take my 400 any day. Also, If I was to buy a two-stroke in the future, I would by a 250r.

you guys were that close! i raced one with my stock banshee and beat a 400ex in 5th gear! i smoked him. and mine had a crappy clutch, bad sprockets, and worn tires. we were on a road, so it was all out. none of this 1/8 mile junk or anything.

I'm a 400 owner and a good friend of mine has a 2000 banshee. Depending on which track we race, we both do pretty well. The banshee kicks my tail on any tracks that the jumps are spread apart, but on the tight trails I can usually come in first. He's still running stock tires though. I can get him off the line everytime, but if he hits 3rd gear ---- Seee Ya. In the woops is where I need to make it back up.

Hey I have a Banshee, My Best friend has a 400ex.
Both stock, we Raced and road with a DS650 this weekend, First time I ever ran with one.
(( I was excited ))
We road mostly woods, with a few nice straights and jumps. We had a blast and can't wait to ride again!
I can honestly say that DS650, Matched me gear for gear. We all were stock, and we all agreed that each machine had specific abilities that accelled over the other. We all got to ride the others machine around a 12.5 mile loop.
Banshee and DS650 ate the 400ex on the straights
in almost every situation. The DS650 and Honda Were easy to ride, Suspension was far more superior, and Honda is no doubt the Wheelie King.
Banshee we all agreed needed landing gear with flying the farthest by a quad's length with any rider.
All three are Awesome machines!
Can't wait to hit the Trails again!
