Dirt Wheels Report on YFZ450
I have had mine for two weeks now and it is fargen awsome. Nothing has come close to beating it. This weekend a couple of my friends that own Raptors(one has big gun and one was stock)tracked me down and asked me if I thoulght it would beat their raps. I told them that I am tired of bragging it up and that if they really wanted to find out that they could take it for a short ride to a nearby gravel pit that we used to screw around at. They both couldn't believe it, the YFZ would catch air out of most of the runs that the raptors barley crept out of. The 400 ex's couldnt make it. That is totally stock too. The power band is incredible, pulls hard and never stops!

I think it depend's on what you use your bike for......You MUST be honest with yourself when you ask, where do I ride my quad, you probably have the better trail bike, the 450 has no reverse and the seat is very hard to me, I don't think it would be comfortable for all day rides, also, it has a small tank and big carb so i'd say distance would not be that far before you have to fill up again, I'd say 30-40 miles to a tank max, I may be wrong though........Do you want or NEED a quad to get out and ride or do you want or NEED a race quad, because that's about what the 450 is , a race quad.......Think hard before you trade.........

It is a Race quad, If you do not need all that power and light weight, why dump a really nice quad lose a bunch of cash and then pay alot more for a YFZ. If your the type who needs the fastest best handling quad you can get, then by all means go grab one.

I'm 6 foot 3 and I sat on one that a guy we met had in Muenster Texas the other week. It felt like it would be a good and fast bike but my knees were up to the handlebars. For a tall guy like me, the Raptor fits me really well.
That said, that sucker is fast as heck! Yamaha did an awesome job. I'd love to have one. . . . right next to my 686 Craycraft Rappy.
