I don't know why the YFZ would not have room, but I do know that Raptors and Banshees do. I can't really decide what to tell you to get because, on one hand I would say get the YFZ because they are great handling and new, but on the other hand, I own a Raptor and have had a great time on it. Also, you can get the Rap for way cheaper. JMO

With quads you will find that most people only run the 1/8 mile since quads hit there top speed so fast and the rest is just winding them out. I would say they are all within a couple bike lengths of each other stock, but could all be made faster, with the most potential going to the Banshee, next to Raptor, and last to YFZ.

Here's my spin - Since you are fairly new to riding quads it seems like the YFZ is a lot of $$ right off the start. Handling it is a matter of throttle control and that's entirely something you control. I'd be more tempted to pick up a clean, used 400EX or Z400, take good care of it (learning), and see if you fall in love with the ATV thing. If you find yourself really getting into it (after a year or so) then, trade it in on a higher performance ride. If it's just an occasional thing, then youve saved lots of $$, done some riding, and the other quads should be fine for a long time.

or - if money is not an issue buy what feels good and rip - what the heck !?

Just a thought.....

Trust me, you don't need a turbo right now. But if you are just curious you can do a search on Yahoo, cause I don't know how to make links. lol

and iv been obsess with my turbo setup on my car.
i have took it in like 4 times to get the engine rebuilt to run more boost and soo on. And when i saw you could get them on the atvs my eyes lit up haha.
i wonder what turbo they use on them. has to be a very small one to build boost fast hmm...

and i have a carbon fiber fettish soo i want a 4stroke soo i can get the cf exaust. I bet that is one of the stupids reasons someone has posted why wanted a certain bike but thats mine lol.

If you want a good quad out of the box, go with the YFZ. Put a pipe on it and the thing screams. A piped raptor vs a piped yfz is no contest. The YFZ is much faster accelerating and funner to ride. I do believe the raptor has more potential. If you want an all out drag quad go with the raptor. I have seen some run that were ported, piped, cam, and 11:1 piston. They really run good!!
