Believe me you'd notice it after an hour or two. I had a dirt bike with a hard seat and I'd switch with my brother that had an XR600 and it was like sitting on a couch in comparison.

and why was the seat so friggin hard??
if you wanted a seat to be comfortable, then you should get something else like a polaris or something meant to have a soft seat, they didnt make the yfz to sit on all the time, they made it so it would be easier to maneuver around on,and your standing up most of the time on a trail or track if you have it, so who cares?their power makes up for it anyway.

I was also suprised at the size of the 450, but man, you could throw that thing around like a rag doll. The seat is hard, heck ya, it's a race quad, you don't sit on your azz running around a track, you're up and working it. The parking brake is hideous, don't know what that's all about. It's fast, long, wide, low and that's what matters.

6'4" @ 160 and feel fine on it. The seat is too hard though. After long rides I begin to hate the seat. I absolutly love everything else about it though. :seethroughthehate:

Well i guess im gonna have to ride one, but i still dont know it seems a little small for my taste, but if its got all the power and it handles i guess it might be ok, but when i dropped my @ss on the seat i felt like i fell on concrete, it could at least be a lil softer.........

so whats the chain adjustment and air box design like? typical of the usual horrible yamaha design, or is it of better design (cough honda) now?
