Are 18x10x9 rear tires too small for a raptor?
I am about to buy some ITP Holeshot MXR tires and they only come in 18x10x9 size (stock is 20x10x9) - thus will they be too small and look funny?
Also - these are two ply (I think) and are two ply ok for hard trail riding? Or are 4 ply a must have for rocky trails?
Any other suggestions are welcome - as I also like the Holeshot XCRs too.

I certainly wouldn't use 2 ply tires ever again after the experiences I've had. In fact the very first time I ever rode a rocky trail (and I don't use the term rocky loosely... the Gruber ORV park in eastern Oklahoma has trails that have huge rocks) I got a huge gash in one of my front tires. Ever since I have only used 6 ply. In my opinion 2 ply is only a MX track tire.

You will not be happy if you get these for trail riding. I just bought kenda Knarly 6 ply in 20" and they are good but ground clearance isnt as good as stock it seems. 18" would be unbearable and 2 ply on top of that? no way.
Stockers are 2 ply.

The best trail tire out there, in my opinion and experience, is the Maxxis Razr 2. I've been running the same set for over a year now with absolutely no problems. They have so much tread left that they will probably last another year. And I do ride hard on some pretty tough trails. I have used them for 7 GNCC races and have dinged up a couple rims, but never hurt the tires. They hook up WAY better than stock tires in every condition I have found, except maybe sand dunes. Get the 6-plys, you will not be disappointed!

p.s. check around on prices because it varies alot!

UBETRUN, hey I dont think that look too small - in fact the rears look like they are the same size as stock. Hum... the fronts look like they are smaller than stock but it looks good to me.
Now can you help me clarify something? I am being told by one supplier that he can get the ITP MXRs in 4 Plys - but the website says 2 plys only - so do you know if they can come in a 4 ply?
