nerf bars----AC or DG whats the best
#11
Basically what they do is provide a catch net for your feet. If in the middle of a jump, stunt, slide or whatever, your feet should happen to slip off the pegs, the nerfs will catch your feet and prevent them from hitting the ground and getting drug under your bike which can result in broken legs, wrecked bikes and other catastrophes. Good question.

More importantly than catching your feet (I've never had a problem with feet slipping off the pegs anyway), is that the nerf bars keep other riders' wheels from getting tangled with your pegs or being run over by your rear wheels. I got crashed on a oval track because I didn't have nerfs, a guy got his front wheel infront of my left rear and it sent me flying at about 35 mph.
