i have a 03 stock raptor and was wondering what gear you guys start in when drag racing. i was racing, if you wanna call it that, my buddy who was riding my 01 cr250 yesterday, i was starting in second. i figured i would have to shift to fast starting in first, what do you think? and yeah, he handed me my *** every time, of course, i only got to about the middle of fourth gear, so it was short races.

 

Ya starting in 2nd is the best way to go.

 

drop to a 12 tooth and maybe you can get him...

 

yeah i have a 12 and i start in 2nd and always get the holeshot, but it aint so good at top end.
