Default YFZ-450 dyno result

does anyone know the power of a stock yfz450 to the wheels?
Don't know, but I'm taking our YFZ's (the wife & I both have one) to have them dyno'd on Wednesday. I have a modded one and my wifes will be back @ the stock config. Dyno's as I understand them can put out numbers that may not reflect reality i.e. you might get 40hp on a ABC dyno in BFE whereas I might get 38hp on the same machine a company XYZ's system here in Utah.

The purpose for taking both machines is to observe what the mods have done. We'll run my wife's then mine and we'll know exactly what difference the mods make in real hp.

I've never had anything dyno'd, but I'm assuming I'll get a print out of each run. I'll post a pic of it/them.

Who has a dyno for use in Utah?? K&T and Dennis Packard do and some other good builders, but they aren't for public use. Your numbers will be lower due to 4500ft or so depending on where you're at..

this is my result of friday's dyno test
it was at 28c and atmospheric pression down to floor

i have 46.... hp to the rear wheels

here is the link
DYNO

my setting are:

no lid
baffle out
cam mod
pilot 45
main jet #170
mixture screw 2 turns
needle clip #5
elevation arround 800' above sea level
that's impressive. The more I read about this bike in the mags and here, the more I like it. I wouldn't own one, have no use for it, but it is awesome!

BTW, what is a cam mod? How much did your Rappy dyno?

Who has a dyno for use in Utah?? K&T...
I'll be on K&T's dyno.

My numbers will be lower @ 4,500', but that's where I live/ride. Everyone @ this elevation is penalized the same.

Not to flame..but it goes to show that is a generous dyno... 47 hp piped Raptor?....I think it's generous..but that's just me.

But there's a big diff between the cam mod and without.

That is a VERY generous dyno, we havent had a YFZ450 on ours yet, but we have quite a few Raptors, stock is about 34, piped is 36-38 depending on the pipe, and a few alky 686's that have mid 50's. So I cant comment on the 450 yet, but would like to dyno one.
