Predator or Yfz????

predator.....$7500-$8000 out the door for a YFZ is alittle much.
I just bought a 03' Raptor for $5971 out the door...put $1100 worth of aftermarket parts on it, and I'm pretty sure that I can beat a YFZ. But it's whatever you want...the YFZ's will really smoke, but if you hold out till the Honda is released, I'm sure you can get it for less then what the current price is.

The 450 yamaha. This is going to be the quad all the 500 cc and smaller quads are going to be compared to. So get the best the first time. The polaris is only a trail quad and is short the cc's needed to be a big dune player.

I wouldn't say the Predator is strictly a trail quad.....and the last time I checked you can build a Predator just as easily as any other bike out their. If you are looking to race and you need to stay under 450 cc the Yamaha is a good choice. Polaris is coming out with a factory 440 kit in November and it is suppose to be sweet. I here the Yamaha is very uncomfortable but I have yet to ride one. The Predator is a great bike but is heavier than the YFZ. THe Pred jumps great and also has a wide line of factory accesories that can be added. Polaris stands behind their products and has a great track record when it comes to taking care of factory recalls....either way you should be happy......

I raced four Predators at St. Anthony on my stock YFZ and beat them all up Thunder Mountain. The Predators all had pipes that I seen. Not sure what else was done to them. I also weigh 210lbs. but my Yamaha is lighter than a Predator. You get what you pay for between the two. The Polaris has some nice features with the pro steering and wider stance. The Yamaha comes with a great carb, fully adjustable front shocks, and titanium valves. I just wish my YZF was a little wider, but I'll be fixing that soon. They're both great quads just depends on what you want or can afford. I had a Cannondale and Raptor before and my YFZ blows them both away.
