Hey 14mins why don't you come out to AZ for labor day and ride with us at the cinder hills and I'll show you some real hills to climb that will really test your horse power and riding ability not to mention the size of your cajones.

I'll be at the cinders Sept 20th riding with the boys. Those hills are nasty, makes the dunes feel like you are riding on concrete.

Most people that have never seen the cinder hills are amazed at how steep they are. We checked $100 dollar hill with a gps and it is 1/4 mile up and you gain over 2000 feet in altitude. Let's see anyone top that.

I missed the last trip to the Cinders but the place is wicked and the size of the hills make Glamis's China wall look like a speed bump.

Check out this "cinder" hill.

Picture

Its so big it swells in the middle so you cant see the bottom from the top or top from the bottom. Normally this coal shale only stacks so steep (similar to sand) but the weight of the hill is pushing it out in the middle making it VERY steep until halfway where it levels out to just plain steep.

Edit: hmm, this picture must be hosted in new york, it will be up eventually.

I dubbed it "top o the world" but others have called it "mission impossible" and something else pretty graphic about soiling your shorts. "pantssh#$er"

Yes suh! The Cinders or by far the biggest and baddest hills I have ever seen. Makes dunes look like freeway on ramps. I'll be there Labor day. BTW the weather is puuuurfect there right now. 70s/50s. ooooooooooooooowweeeeeeeeeeeeeee
