Ok, my raptor doesn't seem to like to start. It will start if you take the spark plug out, and spray some starter fluid in the cylinder and then start it. Then it runs great, but if you turn it off, it doesn't want to start back up. Since it starts, I know it's not an electrical problem. Which jet should I adjust? Maybe the fuel mixture? But the thing is, it just started doing this, and I haven't changed anything on it lately, except a new Ricky Stator stator. Any suggestions?

 

Lets see....the machine was fine until you installed the stator. Naturally, I would check the stator first.....maybe it's not generating enough spark at low rpm's too fire the plug. Maybe it needs too be installed different manner than the way the stocker came off? Check the plug for fire.

 

plug fires and looks great, gotta be a carb problem

 

I would first check the carb boots....especially underneath where it's hard too tell if one's ripped or slightly off the carb. If all were good....I would dig in and clean everything real good.

I don't know what it is. I cleaned the carbs out, and checked everything, even checked my valves, maybe it will start now.

 

i would check the stator since that is what starts a quad and it is what you changed.....
