I was just wondering if anyone has raced a DS650? I have a 99 Banshee with Paul Turner mids and a K&n filter with boost bottle with 190 mains. Anyone think i could keep up with one.

depend on how you ride, and the rider on the DS, it will be close. I've raced em a few times. I have a 91 Banshee w/ Toomeys, and a K&N. I was beating one guy, the other was beating me most of the time, but he wasn't stock.

I raced a DS with my stock 2000 banshee. We raced on pavement and all the way through the race he got me by 3 lengths... thats why I am getting pro curcuit pipes, pro flow kit, duncan pyimid valves, and jetting to make it all work. I already have holeshot front tires and renthal bars. I am also going to get holeshots for the back and a new swing arm (i bent the stock one) oops!!!

I have a 98 Banshee, I had the opportunity to ride with a guy who owned a DS650. We actually exchanged bikes.

I can honestly say, Neither machine could pull away from the other. I liked it.
DS is an Awesome all around machine.
The banshee was able to jump further and more stable in jumps. DS seemed More top heavy to me.
Just my opnion.

I had the opportunity to race a DS this weekend. Im not sure if these guys are having jetting problems, I know the DS does have some jetting issues. Anyway, Banshees were smoking the DS all day long. Not to mention they kept getting stuck trying to climb out of some of the sand hills near Walden Colorado. I was not impressed at all. Not to mention I had to help some lady flip heer DS back on its wheels TWICE in a 20 foot span, on the FREAKIN slow trail back to camp. THose suckers are heavy!
