Default warranty

what is the max warranty you can get on a new 450? i thought it was only 6 months but i was with someone who has a new one and he said he has a 5 year warr. could i be wrong?

You can purchase extended warranties.

the kid walked out paying 6900 with 2 helmets, 2 googles, 2 sets of gloves, the machine and the 5 year warranty, sound right?

That doesn't sounds right to me.....6900 is the price for the bike alone before tax....I've heard of some saying 6900 out the door in some places....not here though, I know many people looking around, and the dealers aren't budging on the price.....much less throwing in extended warranties, helmets, gloves etc.

The sales invoice should detail everything, is this person known for tall tales?

no my friend was there. he just got a 04 ltd banshee, which he got rolled for. he paid 64 but nothing else; just the bike, but that was a different dealer. i spoke to the dealer where they got the 450 from, and they would give the same deal but an additional 100 gift certificate also, but just one helmet. they were kbh or something helmets. we'll see what tommorow brings.

I just bought mine in Oklahoma City at A&A Yamaha, I got the YFZ for $6750 BEFORE TAX. It was like $7315 OTD and I know the people that own the shop. I think the best thing you could do is buy it in a state with no sales tax... that would give you the best deal possible almost no matter how far you had to drive to get it. Over $500 in tax is worth a days drive [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
