warrior vs 400ex

Warrior VS 400EX? Or 400EX VS Raptor. This is Yamaha forums so go with Warrior! But if you toss Z400 in the mix I would probably go with that even though I will always be loyal to Yami when it comes to what I buy!

I'm sorry, after reading your thread again, I realized no one has answered your question!!!
Yes you would notice a difference between the 400EX and the Warrior. The 400EX is a much better jumper! Much better! At least stock VS stock. Top speed... I'm not sure, my Warrior has 6 gears, but it flys thru them so fast that it only seems like 4 or even 3. I would think the 400EX has a higher top speed than the Warrior, but I cannot confirm that.
If you already have a Warrior and it isnt suiting you well enough then go for a used 400EX like other people have mentioned. But if youre looking for top speed I think a Z would beat em both who knows. It all depends on how much money you're willling to spend. I would think the Z would jump better than the 400EX too, but thats just from reading reviews, not from riding the m both and comparing.
But I hope I at least got close to answering your question, instead of just listing what my opinion of which is better!

i have a 400 and rode lots of warriors raptors predator you name it i rode it the best one out there right now is yamahas new 450 but of course if you are looking to buy a 400 ex you just might want to wait a bit to see if they are comming out with their new 450...

Modding a lesser machine to compete with better stock machines is a no-win proposition. You will not be happy if you use this line of thinking as you will never truly be satisfied and will have spent an amazing amount of cash. Basically if you want to mod a 400ex to beat a Raptor... then buy a Raptor because you will have spent enough to buy a 400ex AND a Raptor by that point.
My opinion is forget the warrior... there is a huge difference between the 400ex and the warrior... and you WILL notice it. I am sorry I don't know really anything about the z400 but it seems to be a winner... I'll tell you one thing, I have NEVER heard anyone say anything bad about a Z400... other than the fact that its not a Yamaha (no worries now that the YFZ is here though ).

For once I am gonna have to agree with the OU fan. Diet is right, don't bother buying a lesser machine and try and mod it to beat a bigger one. Buy the larger machine and save yourself alot of money and work.
