Just to be clerical, the dirt wheels article citing the honda press release, called it the TRX450R not the CRF450. FYI

It is common knowledge that the clowns at Dirtwheels (and Hi-Torque in general) are a bunch of idiots that have journalistic skills of a junior high school student...

Easy Anchorage Boy, your gonna blow a gasket. We all know that ATV Journalism in general leaves a lot to be desired but at least they are publicizing our sport and showing the public we aren't out to just wreak havoc. ATV mags have their place, even dirt wheels. Though their opinions rarely coincide with those of us who take part in this sport, at least they keep us fairly up to date with what is out there and what might be still to come.

Bombs will drop after the Honda convention...and Yamaha had better head for the bunkers and wait this one out.

If it is based on the CRF engine that's going to rock! they already have a 500cc kit for the bike, gonna be a great dune quad if that's the case..

Did you happen to see the piston? This motor will go much longer than that...howevere if you are Kevin Windham and you push the motor the entire time you might want to think that way. The pistons in the motor are VERY short...I've heard them refered to as ring holders

Somehow I think that if they can push the motor out to 500ccs that stock it surely wont need to be rebuilt at 15hrs, I would be curios to know where that info comes from? A friend of mine has a CRF450 and he has run it at the dunes for 2yrs without needing any work.
