I was riding at silver lake this weekend, while siting in the parking lot a guy on a raptor was geting towed to his vehicle. He looked at me and said no good, I asked him whats wrong? He had me look at the bottom of his engine. I could see the rod, it came out the bottom of the case. Tore the **** out of the engine. It was an 01, he had nothing good to say about his quad.

 

Yikes...... Damb so many problems with the 01

 

honestly, its only the idiots who ride it, ive had mine couple months after it came out, i ride it every day and i havnt had to replace anything that just broke on its own, headlight broke rolling it, bearings needed replacing after going through mud / rivers.....no tranny blown up, starter is kinda screwy and thats it
