Default YFZ450: How Much?

For all the forum members that own a YFZ450, how much did you pay for it (otd)?

Im looking to get into racing MX so my DS is gonna go. There are 3 yamaha dealers within an hour of me that each have one white 450. The two dealers that i went and talked to each want 6100$ for them. This is probably not the OTD price but i bet i could get them to go down to that. The third dealer i didnt even talk to yet cuz they are usually higher then everyone else.

I sat on one today and yah the seat is hard but it reminded me of my CR250's seat (i got used to it after awhile). I have small fingers and i laughed when i couldnt even fit my pinkie finger in the exhaust. But man its a sweet looking ride, and from what i heard it performs just as good as it looks.

I'd say thats a deal. The ones I looked at at my dealership were going for $6899 (not out the door).

7 G's out the door for two on Friday in Utah. None of the local shops in town have them readily available and they want $6900.00 + tax, set up, dock fees ...................

RoughRider01- Hey man, cool to see someone from the UP on here, I lived up there for 6 years when I was younger. My dad was stationed at K.I.Sawyer AFB (its closed now, thnx to Slickwilly Clinton) and I graduated from Gwinn HighSchool. I really miss the winter from up there......I had so much fun snowmobiling, skiing, and with the ATVs/dirtbikes back then. You must be going to NMU if your going to school in Marquette. I dont know if he still owns the shop, but there use to be a guy named Rick Nelson who owned a Yamaha shop at Crossroads just outside of Marquette. I dont know how his prices would be, but he was always real helpful and friendly whenever we dealt with him. The UP has some great trail networks with great riding, dont take it for granted.....I know live someplace where I have to truck my quad 45 minutes just to find some mediocre riding. Good luck with the search, let us know how it goes

Dirthead,
Im proud to be a yooper.. lol. Yep, Im going to NMU, so im pretty close to Gwinn (use to play them in high school) and right by KI Sawyer. I know theres a yamaha shop on the way to K.I. from campus, cuz my cousin lives out that way and said he saw a new yfz sitting out front of the dealer (not sure on the exact where abouts). About the trails, im lucky to live right on one from my hometown (manistique). All i gotta do is hop on my 4wheeler and drive. Thats the best part about the UP, neverending ORV trails. I wont take it for granted, i know how lucky i am.

Nice talking to ya,
RoughRider
