my buddy has a 2001 raptor and has lost the keys....what would have to be done without cutting wires to start it. Is it possible and does a 2001 have a steering lock? PLease let me know of any ways to get er started, thanks!

You could take the switch to a locksmith and he can re key it. (we did this on a trip to pismo cause my buddy left his key at home)

well would it be possible push it and then pop the clutch like in a manual transmission car? I was trying to do it but I couldnt get it to go. I would push it with him for about a 100 ft and then pop the clutch and give it some gas, then it just sputterd and shut off...so Im wondering if there isnt a theft lock or somthing on them to prevent this. Thanks for your input and keep the ideas coming... thanks

push startin it worked on an old dirt bike of mine so if you get good enough speed it might work

Just like a car you have to have the key ON or jump the coil. but I think there is more to it on the Raptor you have to power the CDI,coil, ect. just get the key dude.

I recently crashed (nosed over HARD) and squashed the stock floppy little plastic key switch assembly. The key was bent over 90 degrees and the switch was cracked open and stuck. (also snapped the bars and bent the steering stem into the tank - 7 outta 9 lives left

PM me for my solution - no offense intended but do ya promise it's not stolen ?
