anyone know a trick for loosening the axle nut? I cant break it and I am trying to install my lonestar axle. Please help!

 

Did you loosen the set screws? I just put it in reverse with the engine off of corse and the tires on the ground and used a 24" pipe wrench, if you have someone the could hold the rear brake while you do this might help. If that doesn't work a little heat may be needed.

 

Set crews? There are set screws on the stock axle nut?

 

Yea. Just on the first or lock nut one.

 

I saw a little hoel in the nut, is there a little hex head bolt in there?

 

There's suppose to be, one on each side of the nut. 2 set screws total.
