pipe for yzf450
#4
everyone is running curtis sparks pipes becuase they were the first pipes that were readily available.
so far everyones pipes are making about the same HP. with the same mods and same jetting. it's not really about who make the most power from thier pipe but where it makes the most power. you want a pipe that makes good strong broad powewr, not one that peaks 2 hp more then the other guys.
i'm using a stock head pipe, and a GYT-R carbon fiber slip on, and so far i have dynoed four other pipes and none of them have made any more power then my GYT-R slip on. and they were all jetted properly dynoed the same day on the same dyno on the same machine with all the same mods.
the stock header and slip on setup made more power then any of them above 8500pm's.
so it pretty much doesn't matter which one you get becuase they are all within .5-1of each other.

what pipe is everyone running? or what pipe would you run?
I'll dyno the machine again (w/ the TA) and compare the results.
