I have a '99 Banshee and just installed pro-circuit pipe/silencers, boost bottle, reeds, reed spacer, pro flow filter, and 270 jets. Runs fine but one question. When I have it pegged going down a dirt road, maybe 3/4 throttle in 6th I hit the throttle the last 1/4 and the power stays the same (no increae) but I hear a deeper tone coming from the airbox. Is this normal? It doesn't bog down but I get no additional power going from 3/4 throttle to full throttle. Any suggestions?

I am thinking I should go to a bigger main jet. What does everyone else think? I don't know a whole lot about pilot jets and needles. Any suggestions?

run it down that road again wide open then kill it roll to a stop and take a plug reading. Thats about the best way to tell. 270 isn't a bad place to start....i was running 280s with those pipes.

 

Does yours pull all the way through to open throttle? Have you done anything with the needles or pilot jets?

yeah...mine revs out fine when going flat out... had a little stutter around 1/4 open, but changed needle position and fixed that. Nice and smooth all the way up now...with harder pull in mid to top. Check the plugs after you go wide open for a bit and that will tell if your close...if so, then might not be jetting. Are you running with airbox lid off or on?

 

I run with the air box lid off with an outerware on the pro flow filter. What jets are you using?
