IS the FYZ a good Trail Bike
#1
I Maybe pruchasing a FYZ 450 tommorow.
I mostly will be riding in trails, Some open pits, maybe a mx track now and then.
IS this the bike of choice.
I also heard the filiment in the Yamaha headlights tend to break often. Is this a true statement or should i not even bother t worry about it.
The headlights are $150 a pop.

FYZ ?
Many seem to like the YFZ450 but it does not have reverse. If you are going to need reverse then you may want to look at the Raptor. You have to weigh and prioritize the options you want.

hes buying a bike, and he cant even spell it!, it can be an alright trail bike if you ride *****-to-the-walls. But for cruisin' dont even consider it. Pits are fun on a yfz, though, and track, only the best!

YFZ fYZ same diffrence, I still shelling out $6800
Someone also suggested a preditor may be a better choice.
Maybe a better question is what do think the all around best trail bike is that has plenty of power?
I know that is an open question.

i have rode my brothers yfz on trails and it is pretty good you just have to keep the revs up. i would suggest a raptor or a z400 if you want a trail machine with good power and the occasional trip to the track.

Id say for trail you will want eaither 1.)Raptor 2.)trx450r 3.)yfz450 4.)z400 5.)Predator
predators are way too bulky for the trails.

No soup for either of you guys.
Now back to business...
It the YFZ a good trail bike? Hmmmm.... Yes.
Will get away from you with mods? Depends who you are.
The YFZ headlights "tend" to break often? I've never heard that one.
Don't get the YFZ. Wait until February/March for the TRX.

Trigger,
Glad to see you online.
What i was saying was i didn't understand why the revs needed be up on a 4 stroke.
I understand that in the 2 stroke forum.
My delema is betwwen the preditor 500 and YFZ 450.
I'm 6'2" 230. A big boy for a small framed bike like the 450. I'm possitive the power will blow me away. I just want to be sure before i spend an extar $100 tommorow.
