I think dinner is very acceptable, but if you wish to do something more like "high school" you could always go putt-putt, bowling, to the park, a museum, or something of the like. Those are tried and true favorites I guess.

 

the guys are steering you straight but i'll add to it a bit.... just find a nice time to talk to her and make it well known that you think she is beautiful and would be interested in going out with her some time. most likely all it will take is that one 2 minute conversation and you will be set. those 2 minutes are the hardest part. one thing i will tell you, from personal experience: if she acts interested or confesses to liking you too, you will be walking on AIR the rest of the day. just do it man, you won't regret it.

Sounds good to me. Dinners are a great place to talk and get to know someone. Red Lobster is always good because it is usually quiet and is different. I guess my last g/f and I went to Applebees, so that is a good option and won't kill your wallet.
