Default 11:1 piston & exhaust only?? Worth it??

Will I notice an improvement from the 11:1 piston w/o a cam or will I need the cam as well to get any gains from the higher compression piston? I plan on getting an aftermarket slip on(either gyt-r or white bros E-series, leaning more towards the white bros.),but didn't know if it would be worth the extra $$$ to buy a high comp. piston unless I've had other motor work done as well? I found some results from the search function but no one addressed this question directly.....Thanks in advance for your responses.

Yes, you would benefit, but you would not take full advantage of the additional mods w/o the cam. Save a bit more and get the cam. But then again, your additional compression and cam would probally necessitate getting the head ported...and then haha. Seriously though, the mods work best as a package.

Youll probably get alot of torque instead of alot of top end.
