What 4X4's have the ability to go from 2wd to 4wd AND unlock the rear dif? My old 87 kawi could unlock the rear dif. Why the hell not my 2000 Kodiak? I mean... I can't even go across my front yard without tearing it all to hell..

The only 2 4x4's that I know of that can unlock the rear diff is the Mule 2510 and Mule Diesel.

The only REAL quad that can be unlocked is the Bayou 300 2wd.

Thanks man.. but that's insane, it's so easy to make a dif that can be unlocked.. Kawi had it well over a decade ago.. (I'm not saying i don't believe you, it just sucks that no one makes one).

If it`s so easy, it`s not that I don`t beleive you, they should do the same thing for the front diff. A front diff locked that can be unlocked.

Now I'm not sure about this but I *think* all it is, is little splines on the axle and when you hit the lock button a sleve sides over the splined part of the axle to lock it in. And even if it doesn't work like that I'm sure in the year 2000 we are ready for this LEAP in *technology* ;-)
