AZ.....how did you go about using the skidpate with the JTM set-up? Fab up some extenders from the stock bolt holes?

I shaved off the two nubs. Used self tapping screws to mount the front. Drilled new holes in the middle of the plate and used the existing threaded holes for the middle. And for the rear, I used two adel clamps attached to the lower bolt tube. It's more solidly mounted now than when it rolled off the showroom floor.

See the problem is I dont want to run my skid plate because unlike down at glamis and such up here in the Oregon dunes there become ruts when the sand is wet the your skid plate just drags and actually pushes your back end up to where you can get any traction. What about something like this chain slider. I dont know how I could bolt that up to a stock swingarm though.

If I'm not mistaken..... you should be able to find one like that over the counter at most quad dealers/shops. I don't remember the brand of mine but it appears that the mounting holes are in the same places but the chain actually runs through the slider.
I have a Motoquad swingarm that is built to take the Banshee style chain slider and it works great.
I run a standard DID o-ring chain because it is cheap and I go through chains pretty fast anyway due to the sand at the dunes.
No skid plate at this time but mounting tabs can be ordered with these swingarms.
Wildchild..... You may be able to mount one of these sliders with a little careful drill and tap work. I don't know how this would fit but you may be able to space a banshee slider out to fit your bike. Just a suggestion. No guarantees on how this might work without reinforcement.
Good luck!
