Blaster Beat Raptor
Don't bet $$$$ on it!
This blaster has a toomey pipe, port and polish, and degree key. The guy racing the blaster does porting and one of his customers recently dynoed his blaster (port & polish, and Toomey only) and it produced 39.4hp. The degree key is supposed to add about 2.5 hp.
The stock raptor has 34hp and weighs a lot more.
Properly built two stroke engines will blow your mind.

Did you watch the vids? I am not talking about top speed, I am also not saying that mod for mod a blaster will beat a raptor. I will say that you have to build a raptor to get good performance out of it, its stock 34hp is not that much.
Anyone who builds engines knows the displacement of the engine is only part of the equation. More important (especially on a 2 stroke) is the porting, compression, fuel delivery, and exhaust.
Not trying to start a battle here, just saying it is incorrect to assume a bigger bike can always beat a smaller bike. Whenever I hear comments like the ones on this forum I think people are insecure in their expensive bikes, they don't want to believe someone who paid half the price could beat them in a drag. As for your freinds 250, is it a 2 stroke? I have heard of 240 kits for the engine but not 250's. If it is a two stroke he needs to get a P&P, better exhaust and work on the jetting, if it is a 4 stroke he would not stand a chance against a stock blaster let alone a DS.

Don't bother with the 240 kit, get the porting, head milled, a degree key, and a Toomey B1 pipe. You will be pushing 40-42hp which will beat a lot of stock bikes and even some modded bikes. Don't even bother trying to race your stock blaster against anything but 4 stroke 250's, 300ex's, and if you get the holeshot a warrior or you will lose, you only got 19hp.
