no this bike will not be at fsw3 it is only a drag bike and the owner does not like to race up hills with jumps he is a bracket racer if this were my bike it would be a heads up racing raptor and i dont know where this started but Texas sand drags does not drop 30 feet

 

Its going great, I just stripped a stock wiring harness of the CDI wiring and I will integrate the EFI computer into it this week. I have the manifold and throttle body done, the fuel system is done, just need to wire it up and the EFI should be ready for programming. I am going to run just the EFI on Methanol for a couple of dune trips to make sure everything is set, then I need to crack the cases for a Carillo rod install and I will be ready to incorporate the turbo into the system.

Bad350- I have never heard or seen a raptor that could run faster than 4.9. I have never heard of a DS running faster than 4.8 It takes major power to dip below 5.0 There was not a raptor at sandfest that could run better than 4.95. I have seen the almighty "112 hp" raptor and it is a 5.0 quad.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

If somebody has a faster raptor come and play.

Would a wheelie bar with a built in shock help the rocking? Is the rear end locked down? Looks awesome so far.

 

I believe Howardstern's bike ran a 4.9 the first weekend out. And I'm pretty sure it was all motor that weekend too.

 

Air- if the y could run both ways i would agree with you. You do not really even see the fall in the video because it is not there. The first 300 feets drops less than 5 feet. After that it looks to drop 5 or 6 more feet in the next 600 feet. These raptors/DS are going to run the same either way. There is not enough fall to help in 300 feet or enough rise coming the other direction. Not like hillshooters. I heard Atoka was only 291 foot and not a full 300' foot strip. They had to back it up to have enough shut down room. lol I do not know how the 30 foot rumor started but i know where a transit is and maybe i will grab Bob and go shoot it and get the real skinny on it.

RaptorAZ- I was refering to Howards quad when i said 4.9. His was a high 4.9 and now i would like to see a NOS run.


I am sure Kelly will makea trip to Atoka in the future. By then he hopes to be in the 4.2 range. All in all it is pretty good for a quad that has less than a mile on it[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
