Thinking raptor. Got ??????

I like the brute power of the raptor. I dont like the idea of 2 carbs though. Why did they do this? Are they hard to rejett? I herd one time that one carb takes different jetts than the other is this true? Any comment would help. Thanks

yes there are 2 carbs......it isn't that hard to jet....I do it all the time.......I dont know how they do it......and the only thing that I would trade my raptor for is a full drag shee......
you can't go wrong with the raptor.....

I just jetted my Raptor 2 days ago for the first time. It is a simple procedure that only took me about 5 minutes once the carbs were off the quad. The Main jets are different. My stock main jets were a 145 and 150. I replaced them with a 155 and 160. I also changed the Pilot jets which are right next to the Main jets and swapped out the needles. The only thing I hated about rejetting was having to disassemble so much of the quad just to get the carbs off.

You could be like me and just look at them and be glad they are there
My is all stock and I have never had to do anything to them other than make sure they get fresh fuel and stabilized fuel in the winter time in the last 2.5 years.

The first thing I did when I rejetted was to replace the float bowl screws with stainless steel hex head screws.
Do this and you will never have a problem getting them out again. If you strip out the head of a hex head bolt , your tightening WAYYYY to much.

LOL Tell me about it. I stripped out 2 of the 3 Throttle Valve cover screw heads and 3 of the 8 Float Bowl screw heads. Had to drill all of them out. They were "factory tight." I didn't get hex head screws, but I got much better and stronger phillips head screws.
