That was the first thing I asked, was about the octain needs. No race fuel, just premium. And they said the motor will remain rock solid and dependable!
Here in Calif. every Sept. we have the Sand Show. You can see all the new stuff and talk with the venders.This is start of our DUNE SEASON; everyone gets real busy and I'm not going to have my quad down and in the shop. What compression are you planning to run, I understand anything above 11:1 requires race fuel.

 

I think you can go to 11.5 and run 93/94 octane. People run premium in the 'Dales and they are about 11.8 stock.

 

at sealevel on a raptor you can run up to 11:1 on pump gas........but if you are at a very high elevation like patsraptor then you can run pump gas in 12:1 also.....
